What to Do When Dental Chairs Expire?

What should you do if your dental chairs have expired? DYM Comfortable Dental Chairs is here to share insights on handling expired dental chairs.

Recently, many dentists in dental clinics have received messages about similar issues: expired dental chairs continue to be used and are discovered during inspections by the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau. This has led to penalties for multiple dental clinics in various regions. Dentists are understandably concerned, wondering how to deal with equipment nearing the end of its effective service life or already expired.

According to Article 55 of the Medical Device Supervision and Administration Regulations (Order No. 739), medical device operators and users are prohibited from continuing to use expired, ineffective, or obsolete medical devices. Violations of Article 86 of the regulation will result in orders for rectification from the relevant authorities, confiscation of the medical devices in question, and fines. If the value of the devices is less than 10,000 yuan, fines ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 yuan will be imposed. For devices valued at 10,000 yuan or more, fines range from five to twenty times the value of the devices.
To avoid such penalties, we strongly recommend that dental clinics regularly inspect their equipment to ensure all devices are used within their effective service life.

Expired dental equipment can be recycled by contacting local major dental equipment distributors.
DYM, with 18 years of experience in one-stop dental equipment manufacturing, provides a worry-free solution for equipment replacement. Our dental chairs come with a 2-year warranty and a service life of 15 years.
