DYM Charity Trip to Cambodia

I once again set foot on Cambodian soil. This trip aims to follow up on Doyime Medical’s public welfare project of donating dental chairs and equipment to two dental schools in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Before departure, the donated dental chairs had already been successfully delivered to our warehouse in Cambodia via logistics.

When we arrived at the International University Dental School and Dental Hospital, the Phnom Penh sun was blindingly bright. After a short wait on the second floor, the manager enthusiastically showed me the dental equipment we needed to install for the charity donation. As the installer adjusted the equipment, the manager praised DYM’s dental chairs and equipment. He pointed to the seat and backrest and said: “This design is great. It makes patients feel much more comfortable and safer lying on it!” I was also very happy to see that the person in charge of the school and the installation master highly recognized the equipment. I introduced it to him: “This is the A6 that we launched this year. The upgraded A7 dental chair features a wider, more comfortable design, incorporating ergonomic principles. This makes it easier for dentists to operate and more comfortable, allowing patients to rest comfortably while they receive treatment. The director of the dental school excitedly stated, “These advanced dental devices are a lifesaver for us. They not only allow students to gain early exposure to and familiarity with modern dental techniques, but also enhance our clinical capabilities, ultimately benefiting countless Cambodians.” On behalf of the school, he expressed his gratitude to DYM for their support. This also means that more dentists and students will have access to this newly designed dental chair, making their work and internships more efficient.

On-site, my colleagues and I organized a dedicated technical training workshop for the dental school faculty and students, detailing equipment installation precautions, how to use the equipment, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting. Through in-depth training and discussions, everyone The team gained a deeper understanding of our company, became more familiar with the operation of our equipment, and had in-depth discussions on the future demand for dental equipment. I believe that DYM dental equipment will help more Cambodian dentists work more efficiently, and provide local patients with greater peace of mind and comfort during treatment.

I also shared with their dentists China’s experience in oral preventive care and treatment of common diseases, including the latest treatment technologies. This in-depth technical interaction aims to cultivate more local dental professionals in Cambodia. I also encourage Cambodian dentists to visit our company to learn about the manufacturing processes and standards of modern dental equipment, and to visit Chinese dental schools to learn about the latest dental treatment technologies. By using the world’s most advanced dental technologies and equipment, we can cultivate more outstanding Cambodian dentists. I believe that the development of dental care in Cambodia will soon be greatly enhanced.

The next day, we visited the University of Puthisatra. The director shook my hand happily and told me that the dental chair and dental equipment were already in use. Outside the clinic, there was a line of people waiting, and the staff guided the patients to register their information. We arrived at the door of the clinic. Behind the glass, a blue chair seat was set against the white wall. A little girl was lying on our dental chair and dental equipment with her mouth wide open, receiving treatment. The director said that this was a free clinic activity in their school, sponsored by a relief organization, and the students were specifically treating the poor people who could not afford medical treatment. The students wore white dental uniforms and Wearing a blue hood and a mask, he concentrated on treating the girl with tools. From time to time, students hurriedly passed by in the corridor, and the whole treatment center was filled with the sound of “sizzling”. Soon, the little girl’s treatment was over. She got up from the dental chair, looked at us with timid eyes, like a pool of water – eyes that had not been dulled by the daily life, then put her hands together, lowered her head slightly, and expressed her gratitude to us. An American was watching our dental chair and oral endoscope with interest, pointing to the words “beautiful because of You!” He explained that he, a dentist himself, had traveled thousands of miles to Cambodia for study and exchange. He felt that our donation by DYM was very meaningful and hoped to encourage more dental equipment manufacturers to participate.

Despite language differences, the American, Chinese, and Cambodian dentists participating in the event shared a common aspiration: for dental professionals to continue their efforts and contribute to global oral health.
