What should I do if the dental chair has expired? DYM No fatigue from lying down for a long time Dental Chair shares with you how to handle an expired dental chair.

In recent years, many dentists in dental clinics have received similar notices. If dental chairs are used beyond their effective service lifespan, they may face excessive fines during inspections by local market supervision authorities. News reports have frequently highlighted cases where multiple dental clinics across various regions were penalized, drawing significant attention from dental institutions.
In response to everyone’s concerns, we have compiled relevant regulatory materials. According to Article 55 of the Medical Device Regulation No. 739, medical device operating and using entities are prohibited from continuing to use expired, invalid, or obsolete medical devices. Violations of Article 86 may result in corrective orders from relevant authorities, confiscation of the value of illegally used medical devices, and fines. For goods valued below 10,000 yuan, fines range from 20,000 to 50,000 yuan. For goods valued above 10,000 yuan, fines range from 5 to 20 times the value of the goods. Therefore, we recommend regularly inspecting whether dental chairs and equipment in dental clinics remain within their valid service lifespan to avoid unnecessary penalties and additional burdens on the clinic. Remember, expired dental chairs must not be used.

For expired dental equipment, you can contact local dental instrument distributors for recycling. Currently, most dental clinics are facing the transition from old to new equipment, with early-used dental chairs often having validity periods of 5, 8, or 10 years. Starting from 2024, many dental equipment manufacturers have extended the service life of dental chairs to 15 years, eliminating concerns about equipment obsolescence for dental practices. The DYM Dental Comprehensive Treatment Unit has a service life of 15 years and comes with a 2-year warranty.

DYM dental chairs have models such as the A9 floor-standing dental chair, A8, A8+, A7, A7+, A6, and other series, providing different dental clinics with options to choose from.
