    I. Basic principles of light curing
    (1) Composition of light-curable materials
    Light-curable materials (such as UV resins) usually contain:
    Oligomers: provide mechanical properties after curing (such as hardness and flexibility).
    Active monomers: adjust viscosity and reaction speed.
    Photoinitiator: absorbs light energy of a specific wavelength, generates active free radicals or cations, and initiates polymerization reactions.

    When ultraviolet (UV) or visible light (usually with a wavelength of 365nm, 385nm, 395nm, 405nm, etc.) emitted by an LED light source irradiates the surface of the material, the photoinitiator absorbs the photon energy, breaks chemical bonds, and generates free radicals or cations.
    These active groups trigger the chain polymerization reaction of monomers and oligomers, causing the liquid material to solidify into a solid state within a few seconds to a few minutes.

    Compared with traditional mercury lamps, the advantages of LED light curing machines are:
    Accurate wavelength: LED emits a narrow spectrum (±10nm), which can match the optimal absorption peak of the photoinitiator and is more efficient.
    Instant switch: No preheating is required, it lights up when the power is turned on and stops when the power is turned off.
    Energy saving and environmental protection: low energy consumption (only 10%-30% of mercury lamps), no mercury pollution, and long life (about 20,000-50,000 hours).
